Now, as I sit by the pond watching the pairs of electric blue damsel flies and their bright green partners, laying their eggs in the early June sunlight, the hustle and bustle of our recent Chelsea experience seems a long time ago.
It was a wonderful experience and I’m sure that everyone involved will have moments that are special to them. Here are just a few of mine.
For me one of my most memorable moments was on Sunday 18th May, the day before judging. This was the day that Floral Designer, Sarah Horne arrived with her floral masterpieces to complete our exhibit. This was the when it all came together!
Sarah putting the finishing touches to one of her stunning floral ‘Pods’ whilst Clive Sanderson of www.charlesbransondesign.com who created the beautiful metal structure for our exhibit and Darren Cooke who built all the walls and hidden support structure, look on. I’m not sure how helpful they were being.
For the last week I had been on site at Chelsea helping to build up the garden elements of the design and planting up whilst Sarah had been back in her workshop in Leamington with her team preparing her beautiful floral pieces.
We had exchanged photos via texts, of plants and flowers but until it all came together we didn’t know for certain how it would look. We couldn’t have been more thrilled at the results!

He was such a Gent!

Of course receiving an RHS Silver Medal was a great achievement for us all but the response from the public was also amazing.
